Stakeholder Communication for EPR Compliance
How to explain EPR obligations to distributors, recyclers and PROs — clear frameworks and documentation.

Effective communication with distributors, recyclers and PROs is key to smooth EPR compliance.
- Share your EPR registration and that you meet obligations; they may need this for their own reporting or tenders.
- Provide a one-pager on your EPR approach (registration, PRO partnership, certificate procurement) so they can respond to their stakeholders.
- Define roles in agreements: who collects, who recycles, who issues certificates and in what format.
- Agree on timelines for certificate issuance and data for Form I/II.
- Keep a single point of contact and document all communication for audit.
- Train sales, operations and finance on why EPR matters and what data they need to provide (e.g. packaging data, invoices).
- Use simple checklists and templates so reporting is consistent.
Clear, documented communication reduces disputes and keeps your EPR filings on time.
